The Narrative: Fluid Contours & Illumination Layering Breaking away from rigid, block-like urban high-rises, this mid-rise residential architecture introduces soft, undulating floor plates that mimic organic movement. The design language emphasizes continuous horizontal bands and sweeping curvilinear balconies, creating a highly dynamic facade that balances deep transparency with structural warmth, establishing a prominent landmark within Ankara’s evolving architectural fabric.
Materiality & Architectural Execution
• The Sinuous Envelope: The facade is defined by staggered, floating concrete balconies with softly rounded edges that wrap around the structural corners. These white architectural bands are underscored by warm, natural timber-clad soffits, creating a sophisticated material contrast that visually lightens the building’s massing.
• The Transparent Glazing System: Floor-to-ceiling panoramic glass windows encase every residential unit, maximizing natural daylight while offering sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. Thin, dark-anodized framing outlines the glass, interrupted only by lush, integrated balcony planters that inject vibrant biophilic elements directly into the vertical architecture.
• The Luminous Canvas: The lighting strategy is treated as an essential structural element rather than an after-thought. Seamless, custom-engineered outdoor LED strips run continuously along the underside of every curved slab edge, casting a warm halo glow that outlines the building’s fluid silhouette against the evening sky and accents the grand, double-height lobby entry.
